Tate is the only person I trust to work on my vehicles. If you are looking for an honest, dependable, and highly skilled mechanic then you’ve found him. Professional, time-efficient work done at a fraction of the cost of the competition. I purchased a used vehicle knowing I would need to replace the calliper and brakes, and Align-IT Auto came right to my mind instantly. I felt peace of mind buying my car as-is because I know anything that is wrong, they can fix. I showed up the day the title was transferred to me and I got a thorough 125 point inspection, detailing everything that is good bad and in-between on my vehicle. They even broke down which was more and less urgent to get repaired. As someone who doesn’t know a lot about cars, the transparency and honesty that I got from Tate was something that money can’t buy. He didn't just tell me what needed fixing; he took the time to explain why. Just give him a call and talk to him—he’ll prove his honesty effortlessly. I truly cannot recommend Align-IT Auto enough!

Trusty Mechanics STILL EXIST Firstly, I haven’t written a review for anything in years, so that should tell you something. I worked with Tate, the owner of Align-IT Auto, who went so far above and beyond the scope of his responsibilities to ensure I made an informed decision on a used car purchase. I highly recommend this private mechanic to anyone who wants a peace-of-mind, no b.s. experience for all your car needs. Context: I do not live locally but found online a very specific vehicle I've been searching for. Dealership initially said they'd take it to a 3rd party mechanic for me but backed out of that offer. I called Align-IT Auto and Tate offered to pick up, inspect, and bring back the car. Not only did he do this, but the dealership didn’t have the car ready after they said they would when Tate first arrived. This guy went back AGAIN the next day to help me get the full inspection I wanted. He provided me with a meticulously detailed & honest inspection - informing me of the smallest blemishes to future repair recommendations complete estimated timelines & what they should cost. For the past 25 years, I have had a private mechanic do all of my automobile servicing and repairs. I have never wanted to deal with a large shop, so it has been a blessing to have someone that I could rely on and trust for our car repair work. But, our mechanic recently retired, and I had to find a new mechanic. The folks at my car-parts store gave me the name and telephone number of Tate Peterson, and we are so grateful for this referral. To make a long story short, Tate is really a very experienced, honest, reliable, and skilled mechanic. He reminds us so much of our old mechanic. Although Tate has been a certified mechanic for many years, he went out on his own roughly a year ago, and is presently working out of his home in east Arlington, but is now actively looking for a place to set up shop. He has done several repairs for us, and we are very happy with his work, pricing, and honesty. He is very thorough, and routinely checks various parts etc on our car, and will recommend services that should be considered, but is not aggressive. I highly recommend align it auto. I recently had my intake manifold replaced by Tate Peterson on my Mercury Grand marquis. Tate was an expert for my issue and advised me he is a Ford Lincoln Mercury technician. He was familiar with the problem and got right to it. He communicated the whole way and was fast and professional Thank you Tate.

Tate has done my car repairs for several years. He is always honest and fair. He goes above and beyond. And has even returned my car to me when repairs were finished, at no extra charge. It's nice to feel confident about the person doing your car repairs. I highly recommend!
